International Women’s Day 2024: Own Your Space Challenge


The theme for this year's International Women's Day is ‘inspiring inclusion,’ and we at Freeletics aim to do just that with our Own Your Space Challenge. Open to everyone – men and women – this challenge is about women taking up the space they deserve with exercises that demand it either in a literal or figurative way.

To emphasize inclusiveness and accessibility, we've split the challenge into two options: bodyweight and weighted (with beginner, intermediate, and advanced versions). To participate, all you need is a mat and yourself, but if weights are more your thing, we got you. Our goal is to empower everyone to join and sweat it out for a good cause, benefiting the great work of the Girl Power organization. Plus, you can earn some cool prizes for taking part.

Here’s how to participate:

  • The challenge starts on Friday, March 8, 2024 and runs until Sunday, March 24, 2024, 23:59 CET
  • During this timeframe, complete one of the four workouts to be eligible to win
  • You can do the workouts as many times as you want, but you only get one contest entry, however, if you do both a bodyweight and weighted workout you can earn two €5 donations for Girl Power (up to €10)
  • All workouts will be accessible in the Freeletics App via four separate links (provided below)
  • The challenge closes at 23:59 CET on Sunday, March 24th. Entries received after the closing date will not be counted
  • The challenge winners will be randomly selected by Freeletics from all eligible participants

Completing any of the workouts enters you into the contest to win 1 of the prize bundles below:

Do it for the girls

If the prizes aren’t for you (we see you, guys!), we’ll also be donating €5 to Girl Power for completing any of the workouts or €10 if you do both a weights and bodyweight workout to help their important mission of empowering girls through sports and education around the world (up to a maximum of €2.5k).
