“My goal was to persevere and endure” - Barbara’s Story

“I’m 50 years old and work as a physical education teacher at a special needs school. I have six kids and just recently became a grandmother.

I think I've been using Freeletics pretty much from the beginning. When I started, I didn't have a specific athletic goal. Being active is just something that is part of my life.

I've been a single parent since 2016, and the past few years have been, well, let's say challenging.

My goal was to persevere and endure. To function. To be there for the kids. To do that, I needed a "place" for myself — a place to gather my strength.

I needed a time when I didn't have to think, just do.

The sessions were exhausting and that was good. There was no room for tears or mind carousels. Just count, focus, and concentrate on the next movement. Wonderful.

Burpees, Squats, Pushups.
I could do them.
The body was helping the head.
Hang in there. Keep going. Be strong.
The two of them have become a really cool team ;)

With the kids and everything going on, I didn't have time to go to a sports club or gym.

I worked out whenever it fit into the day, even if it was only 10 minutes.

Sometimes early in the morning, before anyone was awake, or late at night, when it was finally quiet.

Freeletics is perfect for those who want to workout wherever they are.

I love the flexibility of being able to reschedule workout days during the week and choose an alternative if I only have a little time.

I studied sports, with additional qualifications as a sports therapist and personal trainer, so I could take the time to come up with something myself, but I love to let the app "tell me something" four times a week :)

Don't think; just do it.”
